Aiming at high-quality promotion of young Ukrainian sustainable brands and popularization of a conscious approach to fashion, in July, Lviv Fashion Week in partnership with the Association of Producers of Lviv Region and Zero Waste Lviv announced the launch of EcoLogica project. The program is aimed at supporting the communication and digital component in the activities of Ukrainian sustainable fashion brands and presupposes free creation of quality promotional materials for 5 winners of the contest: professional photo and video shoot of the collection; video interview with the designer/brand representative, in which they will be able to tell about the values of the brand, its peculiarities, specifics, and environmental component; further promotion of the created videos and photos in social networks and in the media.
Receipt of applications for participation in the program ended on August 5. The jury consisting of Natalia Lukyanets (Ukrainian Cultural Foundation expert, blogger, editor-in-chief of studioofmydreams.com), Iryna Myronova (Zero Waste Lviv), Daria Yankovska (Lviv Fashion Week), and Olena Boldyryeva (Lviv Fashion Week) have determined the winners. The collections were selected based on the innovativeness and relevance of design, ethics, and environmental friendliness. In particular, special attention was paid to the following criteria:
design aimed at minimizing waste and caring for the environment
the use of sustainable approaches to procurement
the use of natural fabrics
social indicators, production ethics
attention to social issues in the collection
communication, ability to tell about the ecological/ethical component of own activities.
Young brands non.Lbs., FRAMIORE, MIMICRY clothing, MELMANA, and POSTUSHNA became the winners of the program.
"EcoLogica" project is implemented under the auspices of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
