From November 2 to 5, Lviv Fashion Week will take place in Lviv. Following a three-year hiatus, LvivFW will present a rich program of fashion shows, educational initiatives, and collaborations, but will also serve as a platform for important charitable initiatives, demonstrating the power of fashion and art to inspire, unite, and support society even in times of adversity. This season, Ukrainian brands VOZIANOV, JULIYA KROS, Olesia HRYN, NOVANA STUDIO, STARCHAK, Khrystyna RACHYTSKA, KARTNATE, LEKO, Olesya MARCHUK & SYNYAVA, VBRANA by Svitlana Mykytyuk, BESTIYA by Ksenia Serbin, and MARBELI will present their collections at Lviv Fashion Week.
As part of the event, funds will be raised to support the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, which is currently the unit of Ihor Fedoriv, the long-time photographer of Lviv Fashion Week. His photographs were regularly featured on the official Lviv Fashion Week platforms. Additionally, a "donation for invitation" initiative will be implemented, whereby guests can attend shows of their chosen brands by making a charitable contribution. This is an initiative that combines the world of fashion with charity, creating an opportunity to join in helping those who defend Ukraine.
In addition to fashion shows and presentations of new collections, the event will feature an educational program with lectures and discussions on business, marketing, brand PR, as well as the wartime challenges faced by the fashion industry.
The educational program includes the following lectures: "Customer value design: how to create and communicate the value of a fashion brand" (speaker Elsa Sagura, co-founder and brand strategist at the creative agency Bloom Büro), "Brand communication through video. What to film, with whom, and how much does it cost?" (speaker Natalia Yavorska, creative director and director of visual communications for brands), "Live talk on fashion and art with Maria Starchak" (speaker Maria Starchak, owner of the STARCHAK brand), "How the full-scale invasion affected the brand's activity. Experience of CHERESHNIVSKA" (speakers Nastya Rozova and Irina Kokhana, co-owners of the CHERESHNIVSKA brand), "Business in the fashion sphere. The story of the opening of the showroom of Ukrainian brands "SvoEridni" (speaker Nika Tkachenko, owner of the showroom "SvoEridni").
The art program, presented by the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Lviv NAA), will feature works by internationally recognized artists and alumni. The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of contemporary art, including sculpture and art objects crafted from glass, wood, metal, and ceramics. The exhibition will complement the fashion shows, emphasizing the close connection between fashion, art, and design. Further supporting young designers, the event will also feature a show of graduation collections from the Lviv NAA Department of Fashion Design.
As part of Lviv Fashion Week, an exhibition of the inclusive project "Diversity You 2024", supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, will be presented. In the current context, inclusivity is especially crucial, evolving from a universal moral imperative into a vital strategy for integrating people who have acquired disabilities during the war into a barrier-free society. As the country fights for its freedom, it is essential to ensure that all individuals, regardless of circumstance, ability, social status, or origin, feel valued, empowered, and supported. The project organizers emphasize that this exhibition demonstrates the power of acceptance and support in building a truly strong and unified community.
Lviv Fashion Week promises to be not only a fashion event, but also a space for new opportunities, collaborations and charitable activities, where fashion serves as a platform to support social change, promoting inclusivity, cultural diversity and unity in the face of the challenges we face today.
The event is supported by official partners: Mercedes-Benz Western Ukrainian Automobile House and LEV Development.
